Platform (Spatial Coverage) Registration Form

Spatial Coverage Information submissions must be accompanied by a WOUDC assigned Agency ID. If your Agency is not yet registered, complete and submit the Agency Submission form. The WOUDC will contact you, indicating your assigned Agency ID.

• All applications are subject to review by the WOUDC. The WOUDC reserves the right to evaluate all applications for data submission based upon the WMO-GAW data exchange protocols.
• The WOUDC will assign a unique Platform ID which is needed for data file submissions.
• A stationary platform (station) can be described by a single latitude, longitude and height or by a "geobox" reference (minimum and maximum latitude, longitude and height). The initial definition of the spatial coverage of a station is left to the discretion of the data originator. However, the WOUDC reserves the right to expand or contract the limits of a "geobox" of any WOUDC registered platform.

If this is the first submission of Platform information, or if you are updating the information of an existing Platform, the WOUDC will contact you, by email, to either assign your Platform, an ID or confirm the update.

In either case, both an Agency ID and Platform ID is required with your data submission(s).

Note: If you are reporting a single Latitutde/Longitude/Height, then simply complete the section entitled "Minimum".

If this fails, please send the Agency ID, your Platform ID (if available), the Platform type, and the latitude, longitude and height for both the minimum and maximum points, the Average Pressure and WMO Number to the WOUDC.
